Connect Claude Cowork to After Effects

Cowork uses the same connectors as the Claude desktop app, so if you have already added Prism there, Cowork can reach After Effects with nothing more to do. If you have not, add it once.

Install the Prism panel
Done in step 1 and step 2.
Sign in from the panel
Done in step 3.

Add the connector
In Cowork, open Customize, then Connectors, and press +. Name it Prism and paste https://live.oneprism.io/after-effects. Leave the advanced fields empty and press Add.

Approve it in your browser
Claude opens your browser and asks you to confirm it is you. Until you approve, Cowork cannot reach After Effects.

Open a composition and confirm the loop
Prism acts on whatever composition is open. Ask: "Tell me about my current composition."

If the client was already open, quit it and open it again

Save the address, then run the client's sign-in step. If your AI client was open before the address existed and does not show Prism, quit it and open it again: most clients load their connections at launch. Then open a composition and ask for it by name.

Connect Claude Code to After Effects with one command: add the Prism MCP address, sign in from the session or the shell, and drive your open comp from the terminal.

Design

Claude Design uses the connectors of your Claude account. Add the Prism address once, approve it in your browser, and Claude Design can build in your open comp.
