Prism connects your AI client to a live After Effects composition. It is designed to do that with the least possible reach into your work — and to make the rest legible to anyone who has to sign off on a tool. Here is exactly what moves, and what never does.
What leaves your machine
A ledger, not a promise.
Per data type: what moves, why, and where it ends up. A filled mark stays on your machine. An outline mark makes a single round-trip.

When your AI plans an action, Prism reads the structure of the active composition — layers, properties, timing — so the action lands in the right place.

The specific action you asked for round-trips to the server, which returns the exact step to run in After Effects. Nothing speculative is sent.

If you run transcription or beat detection, the audio you select is sent for processing. The result — subtitles or markers — returns; the audio is discarded.

One clean undo
Every action Prism takes lands as a single step in After Effects history. Undo it the way you undo anything else — one press, fully reverted.
A restore point first
Before anything destructive, Prism takes a restore point. If a result is not what you wanted, you return to exactly where you were.
